The story so far........

The 'Hen Party' was on on the 22nd June. The night was a superb success. The George Michael tribute artist was cancelled due to unforseen circumstances and he was replaced with a look-a-likey (hmmmm), known as Shel Macrae (the blonde one who isn't female). For any of you out there over, erm...... 50ish, you may (or may not) recognise him from his days with The Fortunes. Shel coincidentally is a long standing member of our golf club, so was quite a surprise and an added bonus, when he turned up. I would like to thank all my friends who attended the Hen Party, what a great night you made it. Several tasks were set and the pics prove they were completed. They were..... acquire a man's sock, find a man with a bald head and kiss it and get a man to buy me a drink (absolutely no problem there, ha, ha). Thanks to Shel also for allowing the Karaoke Queen to take over the Mic. You know who you are....! Pics here.

The stag do was on Saturday July 14th and was in 'God's own country' within the shadow of the Pennines (for those lost at this point, Rochdale). We arrived in the Dale around 3 and proceeded to imbibe generous amounts of the Amber Nectar in the Green Donkey, Syke. Ten pin bowling was organised and cancelled due to Ma and Pa D, providing copious amounts of sherbert and sandwiches out in the back garden in what is all too rare this time of year, SUNSHINE and lots of it....... The Midland contingency consisted of, in alphabetical order, Dan, Martin, me, Neil, Warren. The Northern contenders from up t'North, included Chris Dunphy, cous Kearns, Paul Whiteside, Peter, guest appearances from Sharron (my sister) Martin and Mark along with a few others. We had a tour, Turf and D & P and a curry at Raj's before descending onto Mango's. Can I give my thanks and appreciation to all who made this a tremendous and memorable night. Also the Greek chippy man, bottom of Drake Street, for opening up the chippy so I could have my chips and gravy. Pics here.
